Employee Leasing is an arrangement in which the leasing company is the official employer, and the employees are leased to a business (client company) to perform the work. Placement of leased employees are intended only for permanent and/or long term positions. This model works differently than temporary staffing.
Employer responsibilities are typically shared between the leasing company and the client company, this is a co-employment relationship. The client company retains management control over the work performed by the employees. The leasing company assumes responsibility for payroll, human resources, benefits, etc., that cover their leased employees.
